Dotonbori

Doutonbori that is located in south Osaka area is one of the most Sightseeing Spots in Osaka, and also it is a traditional bustling street. Especially, signboard of the running man (he is a glico's corporate charactor) is extremely famous and popular spot in Japan.The signboard was loved by Osaka people over a long time. Recently it was renewal from the signboard made of Neon to the new signboard made of LED. The orizinal signboard of a running man was installed in Doutonbori at 1935, the new signboard is corresponded to the seventh generation, counting from the first generation. The signboard has reigned as a Doutonbori's symbol over more than seventy years.

Doutonbori is always crowded with many citizens and tourists. At holiday, it's even difficult to walk smoothly in Doutonbori. Both sides of the street are lined with restaurants and souvenir shops. Above all, "Takoyaki(octopus dumplings)" which is sold at "Takoyaki" stall is especially recommended. In addtion, "Okonomiyaki" is also recommend. In Doutonbori, "Okonomiyaki" restaurants exist as mush as "Takoyaki" shop. "Takoyaki" and "Okonomiyaki" are traditional Osaka's food.

In the center of Doutonbori, the Doutonbori River is flowing. Pleasure boats on the Doutonbori River is one of the specialties of Doutonbori.
